Facebook have pushed an update last week, which I got to install upgrade today. The new version 3.1 add few killer features to this wonderful application. Push notification & address sync are the features introducted in this version.

Push notification is good & welcome addition to the wonderful apps. The contact sync works ok, try my level best to get it right. But for some reason the apps seems to be syncing wrong picture for some of my contacts

Finally details about Google Phone is revealed Officially. The Search engine Giant finally unveils the Self-developed Smartphone, they call it a “SUPERPHONE”. On top of this, they have come up with a Google Web Store For purchaing the Phone.(I Gave a try & always ended up in an error page).The web store allows you to purchase the Nexus One without operator or with the wireless service from T-Mobile USA. It also promises more operators soon.So why is this this device creating such a huge interest among consumer / techie’s , lets take a look. Initally Google launched Android with T-Mobile USA as G1, but as of date they have about 20 devices with 59 operators in 48 countries and 19 languages. Android is free & Opensource, this is another reason why the platform might have got so much light.

While booking the railway tickets today, i notice a advt. which read that IRCTC available on mobile. When i followed the URL, i got a pretty good JavaME Application which helps me to book tickets through my Mobile. I try booking a ticket and Wow!! it works. Its pretty faster when compare to doing it via the web. Here is some sample screen shots.

It have a feature where you can refer this application to your friends. The catch is it send the sms from the server not from your connect.Kudos to the people who worked for creating such a useful application. It have got a permanent Place in my mobile now, In fact on my stand by application list.

If you want to you this application all you need to have is a Mobile Phone which support Java and a data Service. If you have both the check out IRCTCMobile Site for download instruction..

• Now. Open it up, click on C:
• Now click the System folder
• Followed by the Apps folder
• Then the Phone folder
• And finally the OpLogo folder
• You will find a BMP file, just delete it.

Now you are done with your task, a restart is required most of the time, some times it works with out a restart.
